A family-owned business with more than 60 years of manufacturing experience, The Grasshopper Company has specialized in manufacturing True ZeroTurn™ riding rotary mowers since 1969. No parent corporation or outside investors make the decisions at Grasshopper - thus the focus of our decision-making is to create the ultimate customer experience.

Grasshopper machines are known for their quality of cut, comfort and reliability. They are highly acclaimed by customers ranging from rural properties & orchards to commercial contractors. These high quality machines are available with FrontMount or MidMount mowing decks with a wide range of petrol and diesel engine options. Cutting decks range from 41-72 inches are made with high strength, double layered and reinforced, steel with heavy-duty spindles. Full hydraulic or commercial drive systems ensure smooth comfortable operation. Grasshopper is the only mower on the market to offer a dedicated our blade rear discharge (4XRD) mowing deck in several sizes. This deck option has a 4th blade for added mulching and even grass distribution out the back of the mower. PowerVac grass collectors will pick up grass and leaves in the most challenging conditions while still being easy to remove when not required. The drive shaft powered FrontMount models also have a range of implements available to carry our various other grounds maintenance chores.

ZTR Mowers are the exclusive New Zealand distributor for Grasshopper Mowers. Established in 1987, ZTR Mowers was the first company to bring the Zero Turning Radius mowing concept to New Zealand.
